About Me

My photo
Geoffrey
Time traveler? We're all traveling through time -- but I admit I stole the notion from xkcd.com/630/. Love this clever, clever cartoon! Papua New Guinea had a great part in shaping me after I came here in 1963 at the age of 21. I worked in the media here until I left to go full time to university in Australia in 1977, but yearned to return. Things like marriage, family, aging parents and Timor-Leste's emergence from oppression intervened. Now, at last, I have made it back here. Proudest moments: PNG's Independence in 1975, the establishment of the NBC, and initiating and driving the Diploma of Journalism at UPNG (way ahead of Australia).
